Head of Public Relations at Public Utility and Regulatory Commission (PURC), Bawa Munkaila says between now and Monday, power will be restored to residents of Yilo and Manya Krobo who were disconnected for failing to pay Electricity bills.
Speaking to host Ibrahim Kwarteng on news and current affairs programme, ‘Behind The News’, Mr. Munkaila said a meeting has been held between the Community and the Power Distributors, adding that residents have agreed to pay any outstanding bill they owe.
He said the residents have been given between six months and one year to pay the bills based on the amount they owe.
Mr. Munkaila said the PURC will always work towards resolution of conflicts.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Lower Manya, Ebenezer Teye Larbi says the death of the 14 year old boy was not related to the fracas between PDS and the people of the area.
