Govt’s Performance Tracker will offer real-time updates- Fatimatu Abubakar

The Minister designated for Information, Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar has explained that the launch of the government tracker will offer Ghanaians a user-friendly platform to access real-time information.

Speaking at the launch of the Government Performance Tracker at the GB Hall, GIMPA-Accra, the minister-designate for information, Hon. Fati Abubakar explained that, over the years, monitoring the progress of government projects has always been a challenge but the Nana Addon and Dr. Bawumia led government took the bold decision to address the challenge by developing a mechanism that is convenient, credible and accessible regardless of ones location within the country.

“We undertook a comprehensive data collection initiative in collaboration with ministries, departments, agencies as well as metropolitan and district assemblies to gather accurate information on government projects across the nation,” She added.

According to her, they have carefully put together this data, removing duplicates and ensuring its accuracy through a collaborative validation process with MMDs through open communication and ongoing collaboration.

“We have achieved a verified and comprehensive database,” She said.

Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar mentioned that, the tracker will offer Ghanaians a user-friendly platform to access real-time information on government projects throughout the country. “This data is your power”, She said.

Additionally, she stated that, the tracker will be an enabler for accountability and monitoring of projects of government projects towards the national development agenda.

She again mentioned that, the performance tracker is not just an information platform but also an empowerment tool as citizens will now actively participate in the Nations developments.

“You can track progress, identify areas for improvements and engage government officials in real time,” She added.
