The President of the National Peasant Farmers Association, Abdul-Rahaman Mohammed has appealed to government to increase the number of farm inputs allocated to peasant farmers under the “Planting for Food and Jobs” programme.

According to him, government can only reduce rice importation if the needed support is offered to peasant farmers willing to go into commercial farming.

The National President of the Peasant Farmers Association made the appeal after a tour of rice valleys in the Mamprugu Moaduri District of the North East Region.
