The Public Relations Officer of COCOBOD, Fiifi Boafo, has hinted of plans to start a pilot registration of some Cocoa farmers for pensions next week Monday, ahead of the roll out of the full scheme in the 2021/2022 cocoa season.
Speaking to GBC News, Mr Boafo said data collection of cocoa farmers in the Western and Ashanti regions have ended with the Western North being the next target to enroll unto the pension scheme by the October cocoa season.
He urged the farmers not to be discouraged by the naysayers but take advantage of the programme to secure their retirement.
