The 60-year-old man and his daughter who were arrested for allegedly operating an eatery, locally known as ‘chop bar’, on a pavement of the newly constructed Pokuase Interchange have been granted bail by the Accra Regional Police Command.

It comes after a task force set up by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council apprehended the chop bar keeper who was operating on the recently inaugurated Pokuase interchange.

Speaking to GBC News, Acting Ga North MCE, Clement Wilkinson said 60-year-old Kwame Addo, and his daughter Comfort Dartey, 32, were arrested after a video of them in the act went viral with many social media analysts condemning them for indiscipline.

He said the culprits who operated the chop bar only at night have been charged for causing nuisance after police interrogation.
