Police in the Ashanti Region have confirmed the murder of a level 200 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Body of the deceased Kwaku Adu-Gyamfi, a Biological Science student was discovered at Sewuah New Site.

Public Relations Officer for the Ashanti Regional Police Command, DSP Godwin Ahianyo, addressing the media said a suspect has been arrested to assist in investigations.

He said the suspect, a 25-year-old tailor apprentice, Emmanuel Boateng, allegedly lured the deceased to a nearby location and killed him, following his (Student) inability to pay a GHC300 debt owed.
