Police scale up security to avert crime, road carnage and spread of Covid-19 this Easter

The Ghana Police Service is to deploy plain clothe and uniformed officers to arrest individuals or group of persons who will breach the COVID-19 protocols during the Easter holidays.

To this end, Easter conventions, church crusades, pilgrimages, carnivals, festivals, beach resorts and pool gatherings, are banned this season and beyond.

Churches, mosques and religious bodies, are expected to hold services not beyond 2 hours for only 100 people, observing all COVID-19 protocols.
