Police to arrest motorcyclists who use pedestrian footbridges

The Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate, MTTD, of the Ghana Police Service has cautioned motor cyclists who use the disability friendly slopes on pedestrian footbridges to stop or face the full rigours of the law.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Superintendent Alexander Obeng of the MTTD said the act is unlawful and dangerous.

To this end, he said the directorate will intensify monitoring of the act by deploying personnel to arrest and prosecute recalcitrant motor cyclists.
