The Police MTTD has issued a warning to persons misusing sirens on the roads to desist from the act or face arrest.

This follows a communiqué from the Office of the President quoting regulation 74 (3) of LI 2180 which specifies the category of vehicles which should use sirens.

Director of Education, Research and Training at the Police MTTD, Supt Alexander Obeng said the statement from the Office of the President should be a warning to all.

Supt. Obeng spoke on allegations that some Police Dispatch Riders misuse the sirens. He gave an assurance that Police Dispatch Riders will be assigned by the IGP if deemed necessary.
