Potholes plague commuting in Awutu Senya East Municipal

By Savannah Pokuaah Duah

Students at the Odupong Community Day Care, which was built by the former President, John Dramani Mahama, in the Awutu Senya East Municipal, and market women plying the Kasoa-Ofankor Jeriva road, are appealing to the government/Department of Urban Roads to fix the big potholes on the road.

The potholes have prevented many drivers from busing the students and members who work in the Municipal offices to their expected destinations, causing worry for most of the students and market women.

Comparing the Ofankor market to the Kasoa new market, many people prefer the new market to the Ofankor market due to the nature of the road.

Speaking to some market women, they expressed their concerns regarding how the road has increased transport costs since drivers charge more before bringing their goods to the market.
