The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has hinted of easing further the restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus if the number of deaths, critically ill and positive cases continue to be low.
Addressing a delegation from the Anglo traditional Council, the President encouraged self-discipline and strict adherence to the covid-19 protocols such as hand washing, social distancing in order to defeat the virus. He was confident that Ghana will be able to get ahead of the virus.

On Agriculture, the President assured them that the government will assist in the production of rice. He said with the youth showing interest in rice production, Ghana will cut its importation.
“We are witnessing across the country now, a big interest in rice productions especially from some of our young people.”
Leader of the Kome /Shime delegation, Agbotadua Kumasah, welcomed interventions by government to stem the spread of the Novel coronavirus.
The delegation also wants the government to take a look at the deplorable road condition, renovation of their market and construction of new police station.
