President Nana Akufo Addo has projected an increase in Ghana’s crude oil production from two hundred thousand barrels per day to about five hundred thousand barrels in the medium term with the potential of producing up to one hundred million barrels in the long term.
He noted that this will become possible as some international oil and gas giants like BP and Total, have also expressed interest in exploring crude oil in the country.
President announced this during his encounter with the media last night.
Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo has reiterated government’s commitment to revamp all rail lines across the country.
He cautioned people against encroaching the lands along rail-lines.
He asked them to desist from such act and comply with directives to enable authorities go ahead with the rehabilitation works devoid of any impediment.
