President Akufo-Addo receives International Nation Builders’ Award in the US

President Akufo-Addo has told members of the Black Business Community in the United States of America of the numerous investment opportunities existing in Ghana, as the country seeks to recover strongly from the ravages of Covid-19. He said despite the very real difficulties posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic, Ghana is doing some things right, and sending out the right signals to the Global Investor Community.

President Akufo-Addo said this at the “Africa Flagship Programme Session of the 45th Annual Legislative Conference of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators, being held in Atlanta, Georgia.

President Akufo-Addo said Ghana is implementing a 100 Billion Cedi Programme, aimed at stabilizing and revitalizing the Ghanaian Economy.

He reassured the Investor Community that Ghana remains a safe country.

President Akufo-Addo said Ghana is spearheading Regional Integration and Cooperation in Industrializing Africa, and currently hosting the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area with a combined GDP of Three Trillion United States Dollars.

International Nation Builders’ Award.

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators of the United States Congress has presented President Akufo-Addo with the first ever International Nation Builders Award of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

The Award was established to recognize African-Americans who have distinguished themselves to Life-long Service and Dedication to Enfranchisement and Inclusion of Americans of African Descent into national politics.

Speaking at the award ceremony at the 45th Annual National Black Caucus of State Legislators in Atlanta, Georgia, President of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators of the United States Congress, Congressman Billy Mitchell, explained the Nation Builders Award ceremony was renamed in 1995 to honour the late David P. Richardson, a Twenty-three-year member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and its third President.
