Rainstorm rips off School roofing in Agona

A severe rainstorm has ripped off the roof of Yaa Amponsa Presby Model School at Agona in the Central Region. Though the school was in session none of the pupils got injured.

The extent of damage forced the school to be temporarily closed down for immediate reconstruction to enable pupils to return to as soon as possible.

Minister in charge of the Agona Presby Church, Reverend Samuel Kwakye in an interview with GBC NEWS appealed to NADMO and other benevolent organizations to assist the school with roofing sheet and other building materials to re-roof the building for immediate resumption of academic work.

He said the pupils cannot afford to stay home for long having spent close to 19 months due to the covid-19 outbreak.
