Director-General, in charge of Services, of the Police, COP George Alex Mensah, says increasing domestic abuse cases in recent times resulting in the death of mostly women should be seen as a community safety issue and not a private or family matter.
COP Alex Mensah, therefore, advised people suffering any form of domestic abuse, especially women to report to the police so that the necessary action can be taken against the perpetrators.
He was speaking in Ho at the passing out of three hundred and fifty-seven recruits from the Volta Regional Police Training School.

The Overall Best Recruit at the Volta Regional Police Training School, was Wonder Segbedzi. He has also adjudged the National Overall Best Recruit after scoring 92 percent in a standardized examination organised for more than two thousand recruits nationwide.
The Volta Regional Police Training School also produced the second National Overall Best Recruit in the person of Emmanuel Gyan.
