Residents in Jamestown have accused the government of selling the land close to the beach without their knowledge, hence their forceful relocation for the construction of a fishing habour.
Fishermen at the beach also say the quantity of fish they harvest daily reduced drastically after the closed season fishing was called off.
The fishermen are blaming Chinese fishermen for engaging in light fishing which depletes the fishery resources.
