"Rest in peace daddy"- Daughter of Kofi Annan

Ama Annan Adedeji, Kofi Annan’s daughter has paid tribute to her dad who passed away on 18 August at the age of 80.
During a memorial service at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra on Thursday, she described Kofi Annan as, “A man with a generosity of spirit, who gave himself to others. Put himself at their disposal and was one of the most loving people I know.”
“My father will always be someone special in my life,” she added.
The memorial service is being attended by President of Ghana-Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, African leaders and lawmakers before a private burial at a military cemetery in the capital.
Kofi Annan, the soft-spoken diplomat who served as the first United Nations secretary-general from sub-Saharan Africa, will be buried in Ghana on Thursday as one of the West African nation’s most prominent public figures.
He died in Switzerland after a short illness.
