The trial of the General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah on charges of causing harm to Police Officers will commence on the 19th of January, 2022. The prosecution led by Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey told the Court that they have filed and served all the accused persons with all necessary disclosures and witness statements it intends to rely on.
He said they are ready to call their first witness who is a Police Officer by name Okaija Welbeck Dauda.
Defence Counsel Nana Benyin Ackon, told the Court that, they have been served with all necessary documents for now and are content with it.
The Circuit Court Judge, Rosemond Baah Torsu however fixed January 19, next year for the commencement of the trial.
Rev. Owusu Bempah and two others have all pleaded not guilty to two charges each of abetment to cause harm and unlawful damage.
