Data on road accidents and related deaths from January to June this year (2019), indicate an increase of 33 percent.
In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, a Superintendent at the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), Alexander Obeng said human error has been identified as the main cause of accidents in the country.
He said the MTTD has done its bit in sensitizing and educating motorists to road safety and care.
