Salaga South MP donates GH¢21,100 to Gonjaland youth groups

The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated a total of GH¢21,100 to four local branches of the Gonjaland Youth Association in the East Gonja Municipality to support their participation in the association’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The donation was presented on behalf of the MP by Chief Kijipuwura Mohammed Achilo, popularly known as Mr Sabingo, accompanied by Awari Lawal and Danian Megari.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr Lawal explained that the funds would be distributed among the four beneficiary branches as follows: Kpembe Local Branch – GH¢6,100; Kafaba Local Branch – GH¢5,000; Makango Local Branch – GH¢5,000; and Kulaw/Lor Ekun Local Branch – GH¢5,000.

He further disclosed that, by the grace of Allah, the MP is expected to be present in Buipe to support activities marking the anniversary celebration.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Abudu Hudu, Chairman of the Gonjaland Youth Association, Kpembe Local Branch, expressed appreciation to the MP for her leadership and continued support. He also offered prayers for her protection and success in serving the constituency.

This year’s congress of the Gonjaland Youth Association coincides with its 50th anniversary celebration, scheduled to take place in Buipe in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region from Thursday, 2 April to Sunday, 5 April 2026.

The celebration will be held under the theme: “Five Decades of Progress: Empowering the Gonjaland Youth for the Future.”

Participants from the East Gonja Municipality are expected to depart to take part in the four-day event.
