Members of the Sefwi Wiawso Methodist Circuit Sunday, March 8 dedicated their service to women to mark the World Women’s Day at Sefwi Wiawso, the Western North Regional capital.

The Service, which was the climax of a four-day Camp Meeting, also served as a special thanksgiving service to round off the celebration of Ghana’s Independence Anniversary from the British Colonial rule 63 years ago.

Delivering the sermon, the Superintendent Minister of the Circuit, Very Rev Samuel Kwasi Nyantakyi-Adomako, said though Ghana has experienced some challenges after independence, it is not as high as wars, drought and famine as reported in other African countries.

He asked Ghanaians to eschew the vices affecting the development of the country such as corruption, backbiting and the pull him down syndrome. Very Rev Nyantakyi-Adomako also advised women to stand up to the task and use their diverse skills to contribute to the development of the country.

The Camp Meeting on the theme ”Discipleship:Teaching Everyone to live like Jesus Christ’, ‘was attended by Methodist faithfuls from more than 20 Societies constituting the Circuit .

The occasion was used to baptize and confirm about 25 members from the various societies in the Circuit.
