Shake-up in Police hierarchy

The Police Administration has made some hierarchical changes in some senior Police positions.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kwesi Ofori, In-charge of Operations, Greater Accra Region, is now the Director-General of Public Affairs at the Police Headquarters.

Superintendent Mrs Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman is now in charge of the Judicial Police in the Eastern Region.

All these new appointments take effect from August 1.

According to a circular signed by the IGP, Dr. Akuffo Dampare, Superintendent Alexander Kwaku Obeng, in charge of the MTTD Headquarters is now Director at the Public Affairs Department whilst Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs Elizabeth Effia Tenge, in-charge of Accra Public Affairs moves to Volta Region as Head of Public Affairs.

DSP Juliana Obeng in-charge of Public Affairs at the CID headquarters, is now at the Accra Regional Public Affairs Unit.
