Six die,12 injured in accident at Beahu, WR

Six persons Tuesday lost their lives in a fatal accident on the Beahu-Agona Nkwanta road.

The accident occurred at about 3pm when the driver of an urvan bus with registration number WR 1607-18 with some occupants on board from Tarkwa to Takoradi drove over the shaft of a Man-diesel tipper truck which had been removed from the vehicle and was on a section of the road at Beahu near Movelle Cold Store.

The driver of the Nissan Urvan bus drove over it and in the process the vehicle veered off the road and ran into the rear portion of the tipper truck resulting in the death on the spot of six passengers comprising three women, a child and two men with about twelve people sustaining various degrees of injuries.

According to the Western Regional MTTD Commander, Chief Superintendent Richard Appiah, the injured are currently receiving treatment at to the Effia-Nkwanta hospital in Sekondi.
