Songhor salt project: Police arrest over 20 persons, including Chiefs, in raid

More than twenty people including three Chiefs opposing the mining lease agreement granted Electrochem Ghana to mine salt in the Songhor Lagoon have been arrested in a raid.

In the process, four persons were shot.

A member of the legal team representing residents against the lease agreement, Wayo Ghanammanti, confirmed this to GBC NEWS.

He said the three Chiefs have been released while the others remain in Police Custody.
