The Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the Central University, Prof. Clara Fayorsey has called on Government to prioritize human dignity and well-being by putting a human face to every development policy.

She said laudable policies of government such as free SHS and the Banking Sector clean-up are being implemented in a manner that will leave many perpetually traumatized.

Prof. Fayorsey therefore asked people in academia to question government policies that are not predicated on human freedom, adding that sound economic indicators that do not reflect in the lives of the people are meaningless.

She was delivering the keynote address at the 4th Annual Conference of the Ghana Sociological and Anthropological Association at the University of Ghana.
