Squatters around the Accra Girls Senior High School (SHS) have been given a one week ultimatum to vacate the place.

Activities of the squatters, which include food vending, kente weaving and petty trading are reported to be disturbing effective teaching and learning in the School.

The Ayawaso North Municipal Chief Executive, Aminu Mohammed Zakari gave the ultimatum during a familiarization tour of the area.

It was to afford him the opportunity to identify and acquaint himself with developments in the Municipality upon assumption of office.

Alhaji Zakari entreated the squatters to go to the Assembly to be allotted alternative sites to trade.

Alhaji Zakari who interacted with some drivers and traders, said indiscipline has been the bane of development in Ghana and he will ensure that the citizenry in the municipality are law abiding.

Alhaji Zakari also visited the Maamobi market, the Ghana Private Roads and Transport Terminal, the Accra East Office of the Electricity Company of Ghana and the Maamobi General Hospital.
