The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), will this year introduce an electronic system to pay pensioners to eliminate ghost names and improve service delivery.
According to the Director-General, Dr John Ofori-Tenkorang, the Trust last year saw significant improvement in its operations since it adopted electronic operations in some departments, attaining a hundred percent accuracy.
Dr Ofori-Tenkorang was speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana at the annual thanksgiving of SSNIT.
Dr John Ofori-Tenkorang who did not state exactly which month the electronic system will be introduced, however, gave the assurance it will be done before the end of the year.

Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang, said the Trust is focused on making transactions easy for its clients.

The thanksgiving service saw the SSNIT Choir lead staff in praising God for a successful 2019. They were optimistic 2020 will be smooth.

A Pastor from ICGC Christ Temple, Albert Ocran urged the staff to work hard to improve the fortunes of the trust.
