The Chief of Suhum, Osabarima Ayeh Kofi, has advised the youth to have the nation at heart, and not do anything to destabilize the peace being enjoyed.

He noted that current happenings coupled with killings in the country is disturbing and urged the youth not to allow themselves to be used to foment trouble .

Osabarima Ayeh Kofi gave the advice when the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama called on him at his palace at Suhum as part of his campaign tour of the Eastern region.

He noted that elections are about expression of views on who governs the nation and not about violence or chaos.

The chief charged the youth to make informed decisions concerning the governance of the nation and not be coerced or paid to foment trouble before, during and after the elections.

At a rally of party supporters at the Suhum lorry park, Mr Mahama said the people of Suhum have always voted for the NPP, but they have been taken for granted and challenged them to vote for the NDC to develop the area.

At Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality Mr. Mahama assured the people that the new NDC government will ensure they have their share of the national cake.

He asked them to continue supporting the party and vote massively for him to get an undisputed win come December.

Mr Mahama said Ghanaians have  seen the performance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and can attest to the fact that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is far ahead of the NPP in all aspects.

The Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Sakite, expressed worry that a good number of people at the rally ground were not in their nose masks, a situation he finds worrying since the number of COVID-19 active cases continue to rise and called on Ghanaians to strictly adhere to the safety protocols to stop the disease from spreading further.

He urged political parties to conduct their campaigns devoid of insults.
