The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Professor Paul Frimpong Manso has advised Ghanaians to cherish democracy and should never promote and encourage anything that will undermine the peace the country is currently enjoying.
Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso reiterated that the worst democracy is far better than a military government and urged everyone to jealously help to preserve and maintain the peace Ghana is currently enjoying.
In an interview with GBC News during the Induction Service of the newly elected Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region ‘A’, Rev. Dr. Albert Anane at the Assemblies of God, Church, Koforidua Central Assembly in the Eastern Regional capital, the General Superintendent advised Pastors, church leaders and Christians to be law-abiding to promote peace and development.
The General Superintendent noted that as a leader of any organization, Association or country must demonstrate the quality of character, competency and charisma in leading its members.
He charged religious leaders to speak out without fear or favour, and not to be afraid of being politically tagged.
Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso however, disputed the notion that religious leaders were vocal during the erstwhile John Mahama Administration and are silent on issues under the current administration.
The Newly Inducted Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region ‘A’, Rev. Dr. Albert Anane noted that the vision of his leadership will focus on total human capital development of the church leaders and the members as a whole.
“By the end of the next four years the leadership will construct a regional hospital for the Church, which will provide health delivery.
Before the current position as the Eastern Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region ‘A’, Rev. Dr. Albert Anane was the head Pastor of the Assemblies of God, Ghana Koforidua Eastern Region.
