Mr. Baako wanted to invoke the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court for the interpretation of the Constitution, he argues that the Chief Justice Committee which investigated petitions for the removal of the EC Boss exceeded its constitutional mandate.

A seven member panel chaired by Justice Julius Ansah stated that no issue of constitutional interpretation was raised and therefore struck out the case accordingly.

Mrs. Charlotte Osei was removed from office two together with her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amakwah, for stated misbehaviour and incompetence.
