Suspected killers of slain Mfantseman MP jailed 20 years

Four persons suspected to be involved in the murder of the late Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Ekow Quansah Hayford, have been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment each specifically for robbery.

The four were convicted for a separate robbery incident they were involved in weeks after the killing of the former late MP.

According to the Police, the convicts will be made to face the courts again for the charge of murder.

The Director-General of CID, COP Ken Yeboah, who has been updating the public on the state of crimes in the country said insecurity has resurfaced due to a surge in crime in parts of the country.

He spoke of measures being adopted by the Police to build a strong and resilient security system.
