Tarkwa-Nsuaem Assembly builds car park to ease traffic

In the past, limited parking space in parts of Tarkwa, in the Western Region, compelled drivers to park on the shoulders of the road resulting in huge vehicular traffic in the town.

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly has therefore constructed a modern commercial car park for motorists in the town. The ¢50,000.00 facility will help ease traffic and generate some income for the assembly.

With limited parking space in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality drivers are compelled to park on the shoulders of the road resulting in huge vehicular traffic in the town.

The plan of the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly was to ensure free flow of traffic in the mining town.

It, therefore, secured a parcel of land and constructed a modern car park for drivers to use and free the streets.

The Chief Executive of the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly, Mr. Benjamin Kesse said construction of the car park forms part of the Assembly’s agenda to decongest the streets in the town.

In another development, the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Mr. George Mireku-Duker has donated assorted items to the Muslim community in the area as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
