Tema: 52-year-old George Adams adjudged Best Farmer

52-year-old George Adams has been adjudged the Best Farmer in the Metropolis. He received a tricycle and agricultural assorted items worth GH₵15,000.

Mr. Adams has more than 700 local broiler birds, three acres of onion, one acre each of maize and okro, more than 200 Sheep and ducks, among others.

The Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, Yohane Nii Armah Ashitey said the Assembly has resolved to support small holder farmers to enhance their farming activities.

The Tema Metropolitan Director of Agriculture, Esther Mba, said there are some concerns with regard to irrigation farming in the Metropolis.
