Today Is World Autism Awareness Day

Today is World Autism Awareness Day , an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout the world.
It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution “62/139.
On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day today, UN Secretary-General António Guterres has asked all to speak out against discrimination, celebrate the diversity of our global community and strengthen commitment to the full inclusion and participation of people with autism.
Mr. Guterres said supporting them to achieve their full potential is a vital part of the efforts to uphold the core promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: to leave no one behind.”
