Today is Ghana’s 61st Republic Day Anniversary.
On this solemn occasion, the Convention People’s Party, CPP, calls on all like-minded people to rededicate themselves to the ideals and vision of the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
It says the youth, in particular, must strive to uphold his legacy, which remains the best endowment for a suitable future of prosperity, social advancement and National cohesion.
Concerning the current situation in the country, the CPP notes that there is too much political intolerance. Of particular concern to the CPP, is the worsening economic plight of citizens, influenced by the high cost of living and a spike in the unemployment rate.
The CPP is of the view that if these issues are not resolved with dispatch, they hold the potential of undermining efforts at rising productivity.
