Some Toll Booth workers, mostly persons with disability, have expressed their displeasure over the directive from the Roads and Highways Minister to stop the Toll collection.

This directive came after the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta presented the 2022 Budget in Parliament and announced that motorists will no longer be required to pay Tolls.

In Tema, the affected workers appealed to government to reverse the directive because it will adversely affect them.

Our Regional Correspondent, Michael Dewornu has been to the Tema Toll Plaza where the workers have gathered since morning hoping to hear some official communication asking them to go back to their duty post.
