Some houses in Sandema, capital of the Builsa North Municipality of the Upper East Region have been flooded due to torrential rains.

Some roads linking District capitals have been washed away by floods. According to the Upper East Regional Director of NADMO, Jerry Asamani, they are yet to receive official information from SONABEL, managers of Bagre and Kompienga Dams about the spilling of the excess water in the dams.

Even though the spilling is yet to start, the white Volta in some areas have started overflowing its banks due to the torrential rains.
