The Trades Union Congress (TUC), has condemned Government’s decision to pay spouses of the President and Vice President salaries and allowance.
The TUC says it opposes the payment despite recommendations by Prof. Yaa Ntiamoah Badu’s Emoluments Committee.
In an interview with GBC NEWS, Deputy Secretary-General of the TUC, Joshua Ansah, said the Congress appreciates the work spouses of the President and Vice President do, but they are not captured as Article 71 Officeholders to warrant any payment due such officers.
