The Tema Regional Police has gunned down two armed robbers on motorbikes at Tema Community One.

The armed robbers attacked some foreigners who had gone to cash money at the Zenith Bank, near TMA. The robbers who followed the foreigners from the bank managed to attack them in their vehicle around the TDC traffic light.

The Regional Crime Officer, ACP Paul Frimpong said the Police had a distress call that there was a robbery incident in the community. The police then rushed to the scene and exchanged gunfire with the robbers, killing them in the process.

The Tema Regional Command warned that anyone who wishes to withdraw huge sums of money should do so through online banking or seek Police escort.

The Tema Regional Crime Officer, ACP Paul Frimpong. The incident attracted a large crowd from Tema Community One Sites one and four to the traffic light, while others followed to the Tema Community One Police Station to catch a glimpse of the robbers.

The police have suspicions that the robbers may be were responsible for a similar robbery recently, but ACP Frimpong indicated that investigation is underway.
