Two parents of the three missing Takoradi girls have agreed to submit to DNA tests requested by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service.

Confirming this to GBC’s Radio Ghana in Sekondi, father of Priscilla Koranchie, Alexander Koranchie said the decision follows calls from concerned Ghanaians on the need to comply and collaborate with the police to unravel the mystery.

It will be recalled that on August 2, the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service carried out an operation to exhume some human remains from a cesspit tank at Kansawrodo in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region.

The exercise was carried out at the residence of the prime suspect in the case of the kidnapped girls and this pointed to suspicions that the remains may be those of the three girls. The Police have however indicated that forensics is to be carried out to confirm their suspicions.

Initially, relatives of the girls refused to collaborate but have now decided to do so in the interest of the nation.

Asked whether he is ready to accept the outcome of the results if it shows that they are those of the girls, Mr. Alexander Koranchie, father of Priscilla Koranchie, said nothing can be done if that is the outcome.
