Two persons, Kwaku Asare 24 and Kwame Asante 28 are in the grips of the Akyem Oda District Police Command in the Eastern Region for conspiracy to commit crime and attempted human trafficking.
Kwame Asante together with one other person whose name has been withheld for investigation purposes, bargained with Kwaku Asare to sell Festus Amoako 16 years for an amount of GH₵800,000.
According to the PRO of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the victim who is a nephew to Kwaku Asare was lured with the intention of securing a job for him.
