The Kingsley Markaiby Ministries (KMM) in collaboration with the Scripture Union in Bolgatanga Area has presented assorted food items to about 160 patients on admission at the Upper East Regional Hospital.
It forms as part of a nationwide exercise by the (KMM) to visit the sick as recommended by Jesus at Matthew 25:43, during this Easter.
The nationwide exercise of visitation to the sick admitted at the hospitals and supporting them by the (KMM), has so far covered Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Axim Government Hospital and Wa and Bolgatanga Regional Hospitals.
Speaking GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Founder and President of the Kingsley Markaiby Ministries, Evangelist Kingsley Makaiby indicated that the gesture is demonstrating the need to love through deeds not only by words.
Touching on the Coronavirus pandemic, Evangelist Makaiby reiterated the need to observe the laid down protocols established by the government and health authorities to reduce the spread of the COVID-19.
He has also called on Ghanaians to seek the face of God in these trying times as authorities put in place measures to contain the pandemic.
The Area chairman of the Scripture Union in charge of Upper East and North East Regions, George Amadu Alabila, indicated that, SU gathers the youth and groom them with the word of God and directs them to Bible believing churches.
He added that SU by themselves are not churches but their works and activities fall in line with Makaiby Ministries hence their partnership. Mr advised the final year students to stay glued to their books and not consider the break as a fallow period.
He was in the company of delegations of the Scripture Union executives including Elder Joseph Akanyarko, Eric De-graft Appiah and some volunteers. The Management of the hospital and beneficiary expressed their appreciation for the kind gesture and call for more assistance.
Each Patient received 400g of milo, 500g of powdered non diary milk, a bar of soap, bathing soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, a loaf of Bread and a bag of sachet water.
