University of Environment holds maiden matriculation

The maiden matriculation of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), has taken place at Somanya in the Eastern Region.

The Registrar, Mrs. Mary Abena Agyapong administered the Matriculation Oath and the University’s Honour Code to the seventy-three matriculating students.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Eric Nyarko-Sampson, advised the new students focus on achieving excellence in their various fields of endeavor.

The Interim SRC President, Certainly Djabatey appealed to Government to furnish the University with modern library, internet Cafe, computer laboratory, sports and commercial centres to enhance their studies.

He was however grateful to the government for establishing the University and promised to put the current facilities to good use.
