The University of Ghana has won the first Zonal Contest of the Gas Challenge in Accra. They beat competitors from the Regional Maritime University and the Ghana Communication Technology University to secure a spot at the Grand Finale in November 2021.
The Tertiary Quiz Competition was instituted by the Ghana National Gas Company in conjunction with partners like the GBC, to help stakeholders and the public to understand the operations in the Gas Industry in Ghana.
The Minister for Public Enterprises, Joseph Cudjoe at the launch of the Competition, encouraged students to continue to develop themselves as that will set them apart and will be a ticket to their success.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company, Dr. Ben Asante said the Competition will help deepen the understanding of people in Academia, the Media and other stakeholders in the gas sector.
