Use Christmas to re-examine your lives – Rt. Rev Dr Seth Agidi

Good will messages keep pouring in as Christians mark the birth of Christ. In one of such message the Moderator of the General Assembly of the EP Church, Ghana Rt. Rev Dr Seth Agidi, has asked Christians to use the Christmas period to re-examine their lives, identify their weaknesses and repent to win God’s favour.

He regretted that the sacred periods of Advent and the birth of Christ have lost their significance as Christians have failed to acknowledge its spiritual value of repentance.

In a Christmas message, the Moderator said as a nation, the season must be used to take stock and subsequently seek improvement on failures and weaknesses.

The statement urged the security agencies to rise to their responsibilities in saving lives and property.

It also called on churches to put in place all necessary security measures to forestall any form of unexpected terrorist invasion and attack on members.

Emulate the good deeds of Jesus Christ

The head pastor of the South La Estates AME Zion Church, Reverend Chris Gawugbe, urged Christians as disciples of Christ to emulate the good deeds of Jesus Christ and let his light shine before men.
