This was how Alhaji Yerimia expressed his sentiment: “We from the Council of State can only describe this as shock. When we received the news, we quickly convened an emergency council meeting of the Council of State to question whether the news was true. Fortunately, me who happens to be a Muslim among them said who has the authority to question God. It is He God who gives and He God who takes. Therefore we have to accept.”

Some of them in a state shock and surprise it will be very difficult for them to accompany the delegation of government they cant contain the sorrow.

The Vice President spoke about how he received the news of the passing of Ambassador Mogtari with an initial self denial posture:` “We are all gathered here in sadness. And I have led this delegation on behalf of His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo….”  “For me and as for all of you, the news of the passing of Alhaji Sahanun Mogtari was really a big shock. I had a message about 1028 am on Tuesday [22-10-2019] from his son Mujeeb. And he said basically, my father has passed away but sometimes in our Northern culture your father may be your fathers brother or something like that. I wasnt quite sure, I wasn’t prepared for the news that it actually and I had to seek confirmation from him that we are talking about the right person that he had communicated, so unfortunately, he confirmed that he had actually passed on.”

“You see the diversity of everyone across political parties and so on, is a manifestation of how good a person he [Alhaji Sahanun Mogtari] was. Vice President Buwumia described the Late Ambasador Mogtari as a man with many parts and a wicked sense of humor and extolled his other virtues.”
