Vice President Bawumia visits victims of Akyem Batabi disaster

Government is to foot the medical bills of victims of the Akyem Batabi building collapse disaster.

The affected families will also receive financial assistance from government.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia announced this at Akyem Batabi, when he led a government delegation to assess work done by the rescue team and commiserate with the families of the victims.

Dr. Bawumia presented a cash of GH¢200,000  to survivors and bereaved families of the disaster.

He added that Government is ready to do more if the need arises.
