The victim of a shooting incident at Bimbilla in the Northern region, Fusheini Osman, has been transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for further medical attention.
The man was allegedly shot in the stomach by a soldier in the Nanumba North District capital.
Circumstances leading to the shooting remain cloudy, but, the incident angered the youth who gathered at the Bimbilla Hospital and threatened to demonstrate, but, the Chiefs and Opinion Leaders in the Community calmed tensions.
Meanwhile, there has been a heavy deployment of Security Personnel in Bimbilla since November 22, 2021.
The reason for the deployment is unknown.
A member of the District Security Council, however, told GBC News on phone that the soldiers are there for a security operation. But, declined to give further details on the operation.
