The Volta and Oti Regions edition of the John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Lecture will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Ho in honor of the late President as part of a nationwide lecture series to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of his demise.

The event was instituted by the Governing Board of the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage to promote and impart the ideals of the late President, Atta Mills.

The Volta and Oti Regions edition is the fourth in a series of lectures after the Northern, Western and Central Regions.

The Greater Accra edition coincided with the climax of the 10th Anniversary of Prof Atta Mills’ demise.

At a media briefing in Ho, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Prince Kofi Kludjeson said the late President JEA Mills’ legacy as President in the Fourth Republic remain ”outstanding even though he did not live to complete his four-year term”.

He said ”despite the short period of the late President’s tenure, he managed to leave behind a lasting impression on governance and politics in Ghana”.

The JEA Mills Memorial Lecture which will be held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho.

Professor Fred Binka the foundation Vice Chancellor of the University of Allied Sciences is billed to give the Keynote Address.

Other Speakers will include the Catholic Bishop of Jasikan in the Oti Region, Most Rev. Gabriel Mantey and Vice President of the Association of Ghana Industries, Dr Grace Amey Obeng.
