The Wa Municipal Hospital has been fitted with equipment to aid in testing of the Coronavirus disease.

The center will serve the Upper West Region and surrounding Communities.

This means that samples of persons suspected to be carrying the virus will no longer have to be conveyed to Tamale or Kumasi for testing.

Speaking at a Thanksgiving Service at the St. Andrews Parish in Wa, the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, said the region has three active cases.

He said it is essential that residents in the Upper West Region continue to adhere to the health protocols that have been put in place to manage the spread of the disease. Mark Smith has more in this report.
